Description
Most modern cars use "fly -by- wire" throttle system where the throttle pedal is not actually physically connected to the throttle mechanism by a cable, but instead send a graduated electric signal to a set of servos.This new type of technology can have a big draw back, in that it has a delayed reaction time and hence can needlessly delay acceleration and engine performance.
Velocity is a device that improves acceleration by continuously measuring and converting the digital signal,providing the car's ECM (Electronic Control Module) with a new and altered signal. This also benifits from being four way adjustable.
Benefits
• At low revs, the engine responds to throttle inputs in approximately half
the time.
• The delay time whilst accelerating in 3rd and 4th gear
and in the mid-range generally, is almost zero.
• Big differences in the higher rev range.
• Improved response for downshifts and safer overtaking.
• Overall safety and more fun on the road!
It can either be DIY installed using the step-by-step
instructions, or by any authorized dealer, in less than 10 minutes.
PLEASE NOTE
We have found there is a fitment issue on certain E46 models from 1998 to 2001 in that some models are using an older type throttle assembly meaning the Sprint Booster wont fit. Please call our sales staff for compatability with your vehicle.
